HyperDevConf is committed to providing a harassment-free, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, or technology choices.
Zero Tolerance: We have zero tolerance for harassment of conference participants in any form. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the organizers.

Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered harassment and will not be tolerated:
Harassment and Discrimination
- Offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability
- Inappropriate sexual language or imagery
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- Sustained disruption of talks or other events
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
Disruptive Behavior
- Trolling, insulting, or derogatory comments
- Public or private harassment
- Publishing others' private information without consent
- Disrupting presentations or workshops
- Inappropriate use of nudity or sexual images
Technology Misuse
- Unauthorized recording or photography
- Sharing others' code or projects without permission
- Attempting to hack or disrupt conference systems
- Distributing malicious software or content
Reporting Guidelines
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it immediately to conference staff.
How to Report
- In Person: Find any staff member wearing HyperDevConf badges
- Email: conduct@hyperdevconf.live
- Phone/Text: +33 4 93 00 00 01 (24/7 during conference)
- Anonymous: Drop box located at registration desk
What to Include in Your Report
- Your contact information (if not reporting anonymously)
- Names of any witnesses
- When and where the incident occurred
- Description of what happened
- Any relevant screenshots or documentation
🚨 Emergency Situations
For immediate physical safety concerns or emergencies, contact venue security immediately or call local emergency services (112 in France). Conference staff will assist with emergency situations.
Enforcement
Conference organizers will investigate all complaints promptly and fairly. Appropriate action will be taken based on the severity of the violation.
Possible Consequences
- Warning: Verbal or written warning for minor violations
- Temporary Suspension: Removal from specific sessions or areas
- Conference Removal: Immediate expulsion without refund
- Ban: Prohibition from future HyperDevConf events
- Legal Action: Involving law enforcement when appropriate
Appeals Process
If you believe you have been wrongfully accused or sanctioned, you may appeal by contacting our appeals committee at appeals@hyperdevconf.live within 30 days of the incident.
Special Considerations for Young Attendees
As many of our attendees are teenagers and young adults, we take extra care to ensure their safety and well-being:
- Adult mentors and chaperones are available for support
- Safe spaces are designated for younger participants
- All adult volunteers undergo background checks
- Parents/guardians will be notified of any serious incidents involving minors
- Age-appropriate content guidelines are strictly enforced
Digital Spaces and Social Media
This Code of Conduct applies to all conference-related digital spaces:
- Official conference Discord server
- Social media posts with conference hashtags
- Conference mobile app and forums
- Video calls and online workshops
- Shared coding repositories and collaboration tools
Photography and Recording
- Always ask permission before photographing or recording individuals
- Respect "no photos" badges and requests
- Official conference photography will be clearly identified
- Sharing of unauthorized recordings is prohibited
Intellectual Property Respect
- Respect all software licenses and open source requirements
- Give proper attribution for code, assets, and ideas
- Do not share proprietary information from workshop materials
- Respect presenter slides and materials as their intellectual property
Accessibility and Accommodations
We are committed to making HyperDevConf accessible to everyone:

Substance Use Policy
- No alcohol or illegal substances on conference premises
